An American by birth, Chris Blackford has lived in Australia for 45 years. She began writing at the age of 49 and has won several short story competitions. Nick Off, her first novel, is based on her Scarlet Stiletto pulp fiction winner Who Killed Ben Squires.
Chris lives with her husband, John, and a menagerie of animals on their tree farm in North Queensland, Australia.
