Highwaymen! What About the Women?

At 6.00pm on November 6, Author Margaret Holbrook will be speaking at Cheadle Library about the Highwaywomen who traveled the roads in and around London. These women often worked with accomplices or husbands/lovers. They knew it might lead to the gallows, but it seems the excitement and romance of their chosen way of life meant the chance was worth taking.
