We have a series of workshops for writers, performances, panel discussions, a book fair, films, lots of author talks, competitions (short story, poem and flash fiction) with great prizes, free events for children and of course the opportunity to meet and mingle with a wide range of writers.  Over 50 events (plus some still to be announced).

Speakers include Christopher Priest, George Orwell’s son Richard Blair talking about his father’s work and legacy, MP Rachel Reeves, Alice Roberts, Lucy Cooke, RSC founder Michael Pennington, novelists Paul Burston and Sally Gardner, literary agent Hannah Sheppard, publisher Farhana Shaikh, poets Kei Miller and Owen Lowery, journalist Danuta Kean, Festival Patron Sir David Hare, and many others.
