Simon Scarrow in conversation with David Young

On Thursday 8 April, 7pm, the CWA is hosting multi-million bestselling author Simon Scarrow, talking about his new novel, Blackout, with David Young, winner of the CWA Historical Dagger with Stasi Child.

Blackout, Simon’s first crime thriller, introduces Inspector Horst Schenke, investigating a brutal murder in Nazi Germany. David’s Cold War Stasi series is set in Berlin in the 1970s and his new thriller The Stasi Game features a gripping clash between the Stasi and MI6.

David and Simon will have a lot of common themes to explore, with Berlin as a setting for crime fiction and the importance of time and place, as well as how to build a sensational series, probable discussion points.

Tickets are £5 for non-CWA members and should be booked through Eventbrite. CWA members can attend for free, and should email admin@ for the discount code. Register here for your tickets.
