Wales’ first international crime festival – Crime Cymru

Wales’s very first international crime fiction festival, Gŵyl CRIME CYMRU Festival, kicks off in Aberystwyth in 2022 with its own brand of international murder and mystery.

Until then, Crime Cymru, the Welsh crime writing collective behind the festival, is bringing armchair detectives an early opportunity to enjoy a Wales-based crime festival, for free, from the safety of their armchairs. Virtual CRIME CYMRU Digidol will run from April 26 – May 3, 2021, fully online.

Guests at the event include world-famous names such as the bestselling author of the Jack Reacher novels, Lee Child and his brother Andrew Child, bestseller Clare Mackintosh, author of I Let You Go and I See You, CWA Historical Dagger winner, Abir Mukherjee, author of the British Raj-era historical novels featuring Wyndham and Banerjee, and the hugely popular Elly Griffiths, author of the Ruth Galloway series of mysteries.

Crime Cymru and CWA authors, including Alis Hawkins, Bev Jones (BE Jones), Mark Ellis, Gail Williams, Phil Rowlands, Cathy Ace, Chris Lloyd, Katherine Stansfield, Alison Layland, and Philip Gwynne-Jones, will be featuring in a week’s worth of panels and interviews with these household names and many more.

There’s no charge but please visit www.GwylCrimeCymruFestival.co.uk to book your free ticket.
