When an informant to revenue and Customs is murdered in Tenerife, undercover agent Dj Smith and her drug detecting cat Gorgonzola have to go deep undercover not only against the drug cartel, but also fellow Revenue agents and officials.
Controller Gerry Burnside briefs her on Operation Smokescreen. She is to take up a place as one of the clay sculptors in a Creative Arts Centre in East Lothian. of her arrival at the Centre, a front for the distribution throughout the UK of drugs financed by the proceeds of smuggled tobacco.
Within a short time, DJ makes a grim discovery – the body of the undercover HMRC agent already in place. What blew his cover? Will she make the same fatal mistake?

Her efforts to create a Henry Moore Work of Art plus Sniffer Cat Gorgonzola’s attitude of ‘A cat’s got to do what a cat’s got to do’ add elements of humour in this their seventh undercover mission.
