John writes novels, poetry and short stories that are a mix of crime, noir and dirty realism.
His work has appeared online and in print for the likes of Red Dog Press, Storgy Magazine, Close to the Bone, Litro Magazine and Punk Noir Magazine.
He grew up in Northumberland then studied in Salford during the Nineties, enjoying the bands, clubs and general urban industrialism of Greater Manchester. Including the infamous Haçienda. He was there when the IRA bomb went off in 1996.
He is the founder, curator and editor-in-chief of Bristol Noir, an ezine showcasing emerging and established authors.
