My gateway drug into crime was Sherlock Holmes, and I ploughed through the Golden Age classics before university.

I’ve worked running comms for a number of high profile organisations including Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Chelsea and Westminster during the pandemic. My background is as a voracious reader, scientist, muser on big questions, and a Quaker. I’m bi and a parent.

My two traditionally published novels are Our Child of the Stars and Our Child of Two Worlds. Generally everything I write has some speculative element, but I usually stick to one of the old rules of fair play – what the detective knows, the reader knows.
