Harry was born and brought up in Aberdeen and spent much of his professional life with the BBC in their publishing division.
On promotional travels with authors he took up crime novel reading and Keith Floyd once said,’You know enough about it .You should write your own.’
Harry wrote his first thriller ‘Smile of The Viper’ after retirement and it was published by Caffeine Nights in September,2012. It features the charismatic private investigator Jack Barclay.
He lives in Berkshire with his wife, his son and daughter having flown the nest.
