David Hewson

David Hewson is the author of more than twenty books including the Nic Costa series set in Rome, three adaptations of the popular TV series set in Copenhagen, The Killing, and the Pieter Vos series set in Amsterdam.
His first book, Semana Santa (now republished as Death in Seville), was made into a movie with Mira Sorvino and Olivier Martinez. His Costa books are currently under development for English language TV in Rome. He is also the author of a book on fiction Writing: A User Manual (Bloomsbury) and an ebook on the popular writing app Scrivener.
He was a pioneer of audiobook exclusives and won an Audie for an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet performed by Richard Armitage. 2020 sees the release of a new audiobook exclusive, Realer, a post-pandemic story set in Yorkshire and narrated by Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones and The Crown).
In 2021 he will released The Garden of Angels, a multi-era story ranging from Venice during World War Two to the present day.
He lives near Canterbury in Kent.
