Mary Lawrence
Mary Lawrence is the author of the Bianca Goddard Mysteries set during the final years of King Henry VIII’s reign published by Kensington Publishing, NYC. Featuring the daughter of an infamous alchemist, the series takes place amongst the commoners of London and Southwark. Suspense Magazine named The Alchemist’s Daughter, and The Alchemist of Lost Souls a best historical mystery of 2015, and 2017, respectively. Other titles include Death of an Alchemist, Death at St.Vedast, and The Lost Boys of London. Fool, a standalone set in Tudor London, releases in 2026.
Mary worked in the medical field as a cytotechnologist for over 25 years. On the side, she indexed books for American publishers and academics. She continues to be an avid reader of Tudor fiction, historical mysteries, and non-fiction and also runs a berry farm with her husband in Maine.
