I’m fascinated by medieval life and before I started writing fiction I wrote several non-fiction  books looking at the ordinary lives of medieval people. Much like today, life then was full of unexpected twists and turns, and there are many fascinating events, including crimes, recorded in early documents to give a writer inspiration.
