Bill Scobie

I have been writing for as long as I can remember but got sidetracked my the demands of life, family, a corporate career and love of The Blues (I write, play, sing and record). However, I have now completed my first novel Resurrection & Retribution.

When former army officer Lewis Cook finished an undercover investigation of sex trafficking in Afghanistan with nothing but PTSD and a prison sentence to show for it, he vowed he was done with that life. But when circumstantial evidence appears to implicate him in a car crash involving three dead gangsters and a missing half million, he might not have a choice.

I am now actively seeking an agent and have started my second novel.

I successfully completed a Creative Writing course at Oxford University’s Continuing Education and tutor comments included “…reminds me of both Le Carre and Lee Child, with a quick, breezy style and select details used to efficiently flesh out the world. A lot of characterisation comes through in the dialogue…”

I write a Substack on music called Love Me Do to Hotel California, have two grown up children and live in Oxfordshire.
