Hi… I’m a former advertising copywriter & creative director. The Dead of Egypt is my latest novel – and it was shortlisted for a Debut Dagger by the Crime Writers’ Association in 2022.

My next novel – Roote & Branch – is completed and will be published in early 2027.

I also write movie screenplays and television series, usually in the crime & thriller genres. My co-written script Bando was filmed on location in Liverpool in 2025. The short film was released in May with its all-Liverpool cast of Shaun Fagan, John May, Pamela Mayoss, Peter Serafinowicz, Harry Harrison & Lucas Miller – currently doing the round of festivals. Talk of a TV series – but talk isn’t walk, yet!

I’ve just heard that my short-film screenplay, ‘PROOF,’ has been selected as a finalist at the 2026 International Indie Screenplay Festival, with the black tie glam gala night awards’ ceremony in Oslo this December. So, thermal tux and undies seem apt.

I’m a lifelong Reds fan (NOT that other lot by the canal:) as I was born and bred in Liverpool by the sea! I now live in North Wales.
