Lynda Stacey
Hi, I’m Lynda
As well as being an author of Romantic Suspense, I’m the Sales Director of a stationery and office furniture company in Doncaster.
During my career, I’ve also been a nurse, and a PADI Scuba Diving Staff Instructor (which is a diving instructor who teaches divers to become instructors themselves)
I began writing when I was very young. At 15, I went to a careers advice officer and told him that I’d like to pursue a career in writing. But being from a mining community, he dismissed my ambition and advised me to take a job in either Boots or BHS.
In 2008, I was involved in a car accident that damaged my shoulders. I couldn’t dive or teach anymore and was left feeling very bored. It was at this time that I began to take writing seriously and found that I naturally steered towards creating stories of suspense / thrillers.
My own life story, along with varied career choices help me create unique characters. I like to give them challenging back stories, and unpredictable plots. And just to make their lives a little more interesting, I normally throw in a murder or two..! xx
