The first female Chief of Police of a drought-ridden town in Arizona, rejected by the men whose blood, sweat and tears built it, must find the killer amongst them. Ashland is Mare of Easttown meets We Begin at the End.

Joe Eurell, a winner of the Book Edit Writers’ Prize, has also been runner-up for the Cambridge and Exeter Flash Fiction awards and shortlisted for others, including the Bath Short Story and Flash Fiction awards. He is a graduate of Curtis Brown Creative’s flagship Write Your Novel course. Joe is originally from Birmingham but lives in London.
