An unexplained corpse in a closet exposes a higher education admissions scandal at a small liberal arts college in the Rocky Mountains, where students hold a yearly re-enactment of the Iliad’s funeral games.
Shannon Chamberlain used to teach at a small liberal arts college in the Rocky Mountains that is probably not the one in her novel. Her writing has previously appeared in The Atlantic, Vox, Vice, and in the speculative fiction anthology Watch/Worlds/Burn. When she isn’t writing about her own fictional murders, she is working on a series of language-learning mystery novels with her husband under the pen name Julian Reed.
