Catherine Lovering read English at University College London before qualifying as a barrister. She was a legal sub-editor at Butterworths, prosecuted drug smugglers and serious commercial fraud for the Government Legal Service and drafted legislation. While raising her family, she has taught English and combines her legal background with a love of crime fiction. She is a member of Jericho Writers and has joined its Ultimate Novel Writing Course.
