London 1956. Traumatised ex-CID officer Morgan Wakeford hunts a child killer through sordid brothels, glittering nightclubs and bombed-out ruins. But now her girlfriend is threatened with deportation and jail, while a sinister Whitehall agency wants Morgan’s silence at any price.

Hywel Davies is a former journalist, with most of his career spent in international TV news, working as a writer/correspondent for various stations including CNN, the BBC, Bermuda Broadcasting and Al Jazeera. He has travelled to more than 25 countries for assignments, meeting with and writing about everyone from heads of state to gangland hitmen, via Pol Pot’s cook. He currently live in North London with his partner and a cat.
