How to Write Crime, Thriller and Mystery – 6 Nov, Online Event

An incredible lineup of bestselling authors and industry professionals are taking part in an all day online crime writing event with I AM in print on Saturday 6 November. Hosted by experienced broadcasting duo Elane & Sarah the day is packed with writing advice for discerning sleuths everywhere, whether you’re a fan of the genre or plotting a standalone noir or police procedural series of your own.

There are many elements in how crime fiction comes together: the killer hook, twisty plot, tracking your storyline, relatable dialogue, the choice of setting, and even the crime scene itself. Are villains all bad? How do we develop characters with series potential? Are we really influenced by the colour on a front cover? And how can we catch an agent’s attention with our submission package? All these questions, and more, will form part of the investigation throughout the day.

Guests include top literary agent Juliet Mushens, former police detective turned digital bestselling author Neil Lancaster, and international bestselling authors including Mark Billingham, T M Logan, Karen Hamilton and Marion Todd!

Sessions are live and completely participatory as audience members ask questions via the chat section. Sign up for individual sessions at £10 each or access all areas with an All Day Pass for £47. Replays are available for purchased sessions.

With 10 guests across 9 sessions providing advice from the cover design to the denouement it really would be a crime to miss out.
