Lesley Kelly
Lesley Kelly is the author of the Health of Strangers novels, a crime fiction series set in a parallel Edinburgh beset by a killer virus. She also wrote a standalone novel, A Fine House in Trinity, which was longlisted for the McIlvanney Award in 2016. She won the Scotsman’s Short Story Competition in 2008, and was longlisted for the Caledonian Novel Award 2015.
As a former stand up comedian, Lesley’s events are always entertaining, and may well involve audience participation. She has braved difficult questions at events ranging from P4 at her local primary (yes, your editor does check your spelling), to the Bad Bugs Book Club (yes, it is scientifically accurate, sort-of.)
Lesley has worked in the public and voluntary sector for twenty five years, and her books are set against the background of local and national Scottish politics.
