Louise Burfitt-Dons
Louise Burfitt-Dons was first introduced to crime writing on meeting Ian Fleming when he visited her birth country of Kuwait in 1960 and befriended her father. Fast forward forty years to her charity Act Against Bullying advising police on the manipulation and cover up tactics of young people, girl gangs and cyber stalkers. The same devices used by political parties, spies, and crooks. These form the background to her psychological dramas.
In between she has written non-fiction, dark comedies for the Sydney stage, murder movie scripts including Maternal Secrets filmed in Bermuda and The Ex Next Door set in suburban US airing 1st May 2019 on US Lifetime Channel. Recent TV movies include Christmas In The Highlands filmed in Scotland released 2019 and Kidnapped to the Island airing 2020 in the US.
Her first crime novel (June 5th 2018) The Missing Activist was the first in a crime series starring off the wall Private Investigator Karen Andersen. Inspiration for the plot came from her personal experiences as a Parliamentary candidate in the UK General Election of 2015.
