Paul Curd was born in London in 1955. He has worked in the civil service, the NHS and the voluntary sector but is currently self-employed. He started writing short stories in 2004 while studying for a certificate in creative writing at the University of Kent. His first published story appeared in Writers’ Forum magazine in 2005. He broke into the woman’s magazine market with his first crime-related Woman’s Weekly story in 2006 and his unpublished novel The Belfast Boy was shortlisted for the Crime Writers Association Debut Dagger Award the same year. He has an MA in creative prose fiction from Canterbury Christ Church University and is currently working on another crime novel.
