William Ryan, author of the acclaimed Inspector Korolev series set in Russia in the 1930s and of the forthcoming The Constant Soldier, is a featured author at the Chiswick Book Festival.

Savage Continent: Fiction and the Fall of Nazi Germany

Together with three other historical novelists, Bill will look at the demise of Germany at the end of World War Two from a variety of narrative angles, ask where the line between fact and fiction lies, and how novels can help us to understand the repercussions of Europe’s darkest hour. Chaired by Festival Director Torin Douglas.

He will be speaking at the Chiswick Library, Duke’s Avenue, Chiswick W4 on Monday 19th September at 6.30 pm, tickets £3.00/£1.50 for library members.

A whole array of novelists will be taking part in this hospitable festival which runs from Thursday 15th to Monday 19th September.

The Chiswick Book Festival brings authors and readers together through a love of books. It’s a non-profit-making community event, raising money for three reading-related charities and St Michael & All Angels, which hosts and underwrites the Festival.
