The next meeting of the Metropolitan Police History Society will take place on 10 April at the usual venue, the Union Jack club, Sandell Street, SE1 8UJ. Arrivals from 6pm with bar facilities available, meeting starts at 7pm.

Guests of members are welcome by prior arrangement. (Linda and Gary Stratmann are both members)

The subject of the talk is the history of the Metropolitan Police Specialist Firearms Command from its formation in 1966. The speaker will be Stephen Smith, who took part in over a thousand armed operations.
