Lisa Jewell’s books include Ralph’s Party, Thirtynothing, After The Party and most recently The House We Grew Up In, The Girls in the Garden, and Then She Was Gone
After being made redundant, Lisa accepted a challenge from her friend to write three chapters of a novel in exchange for dinner at her favourite restaurant. Those three chapters were eventually developed into Jewell’s debut novel Ralph’s Party, which then became the UK’s bestselling debut novel in 1999.
Jewell is one of the most popular authors writing in the UK today, and in was awarded the Melissa Nathan Award For Comedy Romance for her novel 31 Dream Street.
Tammy Cohen is a freelance journalist writing for national magazines and newspapers. A late starter to fiction, she has now written several novels – The Mistress’s Revenge, The War of the Wives, Someone Else’s Wedding, The Broken, Dying For Christmas, and First One Missing – all published by Doubleday/Black Swan. Her seventh novel, When She Was Bad, was published in April 2016, and her eighth, They All Fall Down, was published in 2017. Tammy is a Writer in Residence at Kingston University.
Amanda Jennings writes dark contemporary fiction, set mostly in Cornwall, published in the UK and in translation. In Her Wake was a WHSmith Fresh Talent selection in 2016. The Cliff House came out in hardback last year, and the paperback was released in July, and was described in The Times as ‘beautiful and sinister’ and has spent seven weeks in the Heatseeker bestseller chart. Amanda is a regular guest on BBC Berkshire Book Club. She lives in Oxfordshire with her husband, three daughters, and menagerie of pets. Her fifth book, The Riptide, will be published in the summer 2020.”
