Peter Hayes was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne but immigrated to the United States at an early age and currently lives near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His interest in writing fiction started in his early teens, but he paid the bills through jobs in journalism, business writing, marketing writing and advertising copywriting. That experience evolved into a 20 year career in marketing that ended with a five year stint as Chief Marketing Officer for a multinational banking company. Following his early retirement in 2012, he began writing crime short stories and novels. It seemed only fitting after a career in marketing.
