A tense and disturbing South London police procedural where a child from a deprived council estate, is close to death after being burned in the back of van, and left for dead. Investigating the disturbing imagery at the crime scene, the veracity of the expression ‘the innocence of childhood’ is brought into question, as the key to this outrage may lurk in the mind of the only witness, an eleven year old child, and ‘what she saw’.
