The fourth outing about the blind Teifi Valley coroner, Harry Probert-Lloyd and his assistant John Davies is set in 1851 (at the beginning Davies is at the Great Exhibition). The pair deal with a local murder with customary ingenuity, but also cope with the frictions which threaten to break their partnership apart.
