Kristina Stanley has written three novels in the Stone Mountain mystery series: DESCENT, BURNT and AVALANCHE. She drew on her experience as the director of human resources, security and guest services at Panorama Mountain Resort in British Columbia, Canada to create the series.

DESCENT is nominated for the Crime Writers of Canada Unhanged Arthur, BURNT is nominated for the Crime Writers’ Association Debut Dagger and her short story WHEN A FRIENDSHIP FAILS is nominated for the Capital Crime Writers Audrey Jessop.

As part of her online platform, she writes a blog at www.kristinastanley.net about writing, sailing and dogs.

Her combined honours in computer science and mathematics from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada enabled her live and work in Germany and Japan for seven years. In addition, she’s lived in the United States, Sweden, Aruba and the Bahamas.

Kristina is working on her fourth novel in the Stone Mountain series while she spends her winters living on a sailboat in the Bahamas and her summers travelling in Canada.
