Grab a cuppa and a join us for a 45-minute online video session with Vaseem Khan who will share his creative routine, a mini tour of his creative work space, insights into what he’s currently working on, and how he is adapting to working online. Vaseem is a judge for this year’s Betty Trask SoA Award.

10- 15 minutes – Introduction from Vaseem Khan, with a short tour of his workspace and glimpse into his creative routine

10-15 minutes – Advice for authors on staying creative and connected

10-15 minutes – Q&A from audience.

Vaseem Khan – author, Betty Trask Prize and Awards judge

Vaseem Khan is the author of the bestselling Baby Ganesh Detective Agency series featuring Indian detective Ashwin Chopra and his baby elephant sidekick. The first in the series, The Unexpected Inheritance of Inspector Chopra was a Times bestseller and a Waterstones Paperback of the Year, now translated into 12 languages. His books aim to take readers to the heart of modern India, exploring the realities of life in a country transformed by global change. Vaseem was born in London, but spent a decade working in India in his twenties. Since 2006 he has worked at University College London’s Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science.
