To coincide with Lacy Scott & Knight’s auction of professional and personal effects belonging to ‘Father of British Forensic Science’ Professor Alfred Swaine Taylor (1806-1880) – eminent toxicologist, pioneer photographer, and expert witness for countless Victorian poisoning and other murder cases, author Helen Barrell will give a talk regarding this fascinating man’s life and career. After the talk, there is a private view of the auction pieces.
