Future crime: Detection and prevention
The talk will discuss whether artificial intelligence will ever be able to predict a crime before it happens, how future technology might help prevent and fight crime and how we will ensure that any new technology of techniques will not impinge on personal liberties. Our expert panel include Gloria Laycock, founding director of the Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science, Mark Girolami, Chair of Statistics within the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London and Adrian Weller, Senior Research Fellow in Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge.
