How are Independent Publishers Shaking Up the Book Industry?
Byte the Book’s last event of the year, sponsored by the Publishers Association, looks at the rise of independent publishers.
Discussion: Independent publishers have been transforming the publishing industry in recent times, by winning prizes and selling more books to more consumers in innovative and disruptive ways. Join us and a panel of experts as we discuss how they are changing the book market.
Speakers: Emma House (The Publishers Association) will chair and her speakers will be: Jasmin Kirkbride (Endeavour Press), Nicholas Cheetham (Head of Zeus), Sam Jordison (Galley Beggar Press) and Aimee Falon (Knights Of).
Sponsors: We are very grateful to the Publishers Association for sponsoring this month’s event. The PA represents publishers across consumer, education and academic publishing. Its members publish a wide range of nonfiction and fiction, academic journals, textbooks for higher, secondary and primary education, and children’s and learning resources. They include FTSE 100 listed companies, large privately-owned corporations, University Presses, other non-profit organisations and a series of SMEs and innovative start-ups.
Tickets: Entrance to our event is free to members of Byte the Book and members of The Groucho Club. It’s £20 (plus VAT booking fee for everyone else). Byte the Book members can bring a guest for free to this event, just mention the member name when booking under how you heard about us. All tickets can be booked here.
