Police business intelligence analyst by day … crime writer by night!
I write dark – very dark – gritty crime thrillers loosely inspired by things I’ve come across in over 40 years of working in law enforcement. I’ve worked in both back-office and front-line, including a few years investigating heroin smuggling, teaching IT to counsel in chambers prior to Crown Court cases, being an expert witness in the very early days of computer forensics and having input into the legislation that later became the Computer Misuse Act. I currently write data extracts for the police and help produce the statistics that you see on the television when they tell you that crime has gone down …
