Stephen Bentley
Stephen Bentley is a former Detective Sergeant, pioneering undercover cop, and barrister who practised criminal law mainly defending in jury trials in London and the provinces. He wrote about his undercover Operation Julie days in a frank memoir soon to be published by Ebury Press (Penguin Random House UK). He is also an occasional contributor to Huffington Post UK on mental health and undercover policing.
His memoir is optioned and is now in the development stage as a feature film. Stephen also writes crime fiction including his Steve Regan Undercover Cop and Detective Matt Deal thrillers series.
Stephen’s latest book has just been published. Operation George: A Gripping True Story of an Audacious Undercover Sting in now for sale at Amazon and other retailers.
Stephen is a member of the UK’s Society of Authors and the Crime Writers’ Association.
He also writes crime fiction about more undercover cops under the pseudonym of David Le Courageux.
Stephen has now started writing cozy mysteries using the pseudonym of KJ Cornwall.
