Jane Corry
JANE CORRY is a journalist and author, published by Viking at Penguin Random House. She specialises in psychological suspenses. Her previous books ‘MY HUSBAND’S WIFE’, ‘BLOOD SISTERS’ and ‘THE DEAD EX’ were all in the top ten of The Sunday Times. Jane’s new book ‘I LOOKED AWAY’ (published by Penguin Viking) reached number 3 in the Sunday Times best-seller list in July 2019. Her heroine, Ellie, is a granny who made a terrible mistake as a child. When she meets Jo, a homeless woman on the street, their lives – and lies – explode.
All Jane’s novels reflect her prison background; when her first marriage ended, she took a job as writer in residence of a high security male prison for three years. (Luckily she didn’t have to stay overnight although there was one exception.) It was a far cry from her days on Woman’s Own magazine. The experience made her writing voice darker and she then began writing psychological suspense/domestic noir.
Jane now lives in Devon with her second husband. She loves swimming in the sea all the year round. She is published in 35 countries, including the US.
