Stephen Craske
A P Rogers
A P Rogers is retired third generation in his family, senior detective, with most of his 30+years career being in CID. He joined the police in the seventies, and by the eighties was investigating serious crime and complex enquiries. The last few years saw a change of direction in to counter-terrorism. In light of his experience, immediately following retirement, he was headhunted to assist the ‘world’s favourite airline’ at Heathrow. He has many commendations for detective professionalism and bravery, and is a Freeman of the City of London.
That oft quoted expression ‘everybody has a book in them’, and Covid 19 pandemic prompted him to give it a go! He has just had his third book published, and is working on his fourth!

Each are set in the eighties, when there were no mobile phones and very few pagers, and DNA didn’t rise to prominence until much later. Investigation was far more challenging. They follow the career of Bob Trebor, the youngest Detective Inspector in the country. His integrity, and that of his team , operating in a a niche environment, brings him into conflict with corrupt officers of the past. He resolves not be pressured and becomes one of the first ‘police whistleblowers’ while heading a successful squad.
