Kelly Creighton
Kelly Creighton is the award-winning author of two short story collections, a poetry pamphlet and five novels, including the critically acclaimed Belfast-based DI Harriet Sloane series. Her most recent book, Souls Wax Fair, is a novel-in-stories set in South Dakota. In 2014 she founded The Incubator Journal, which showcases contemporary Irish short stories. Kelly lives in County Down, where she facilitates creative writing classes and mentors writers.

The Bones of It was the San Diego Book Review’s 2015 Book of the Year, and Kate O’Brien Award longlisted.
Bank Holiday Hurricane (stories, 2017) was shortlisted for the Saboteur Award and longlisted for the Edge Hill Prize.
Kelly’s fiction has been awarded runner-up for the Michael McLaverty Short Story Award and the Abroad Writers’ Conference Short-Short Story Prize, and shortlisted for the Fish Short Story Prize and Cuirt New Writing Prize.
She was an ACES awardee in 2017/2018, granted by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
