Nick Edmunds
Nick Edmunds grew up in Fife and graduated in Medicine in 1982. After 36 years as a GP in Scotland, he retired with a head full of stories and set about writing for pleasure.
Initially concentrating on short fiction, a full-length novel soon became Nick’s focus. His interest in people and their minds means psychology has a heavy influence on his writing, and like our brains, his stories are full of twists, turns and mystery.
A new edition of Miles Away was published by SouthToll on 21st January 2025.
Nick’s debut psychological thriller, Miles Away, is set in 1970s Scotland and was first published by Bear Press in July 2022. He was chosen by Bloody Scotland as a Crime in the Spotlight emerging crime writer, and read from Miles Away at the 2022 crime writing festival.
To come in 2025:
- Ragged Island, a speculative thriller set in the 2030s. More details to follow soon.
- A sequel to Miles Away, the second in the Flint and Masson series.
Nick lives in Stirling with his wife and spaniel.
