Jan Edwards

Jan Edwards grew up in Sussex but now lives in Staffordshire with her husband and various cats. Her obsession with crime fiction grew from borrowing Christie, Sayers and Doyle (long before she had an adult library card) and that love of golden-age crime has translated into the cosy historical crime series Bunch Courtney Investigation set among the Sussex Downs of WW2. Rose ‘Bunch’ Courtney becomes instrumental in solving local crime cases along with DCI William Wright.

After being (among other things) a bookseller, micro-ficher, motorcycle seller and Master Locksmith she ‘retired’ to write full time. She has short fiction in crime, folk horror and supernatural anthologies in UK and USA, and scripted sections of a Dr Who spin-off DVD. She is a past chair of the British Fantasy Society.
