LP Fergusson
LP Fergusson writes serious historical fiction set during the Second World War – A Dangerous Act of Kindness and The Fever Box – but as the wheels of publishing turn exceedingly slow, she fills her idle hours writing mysteries inspired by her time working at Blenheim Palace at the beginning of this century. They are published under the name of Loraine Fergusson. She wrote the first Duntisbourne Hall book to solve a real-life crime that happened at Blenheim Palace, a viscious poison-pen campaign focussing on the self-style archivist and anyone who worked for him. The culprit was never unmasked, but Loraine had her own theory which she set out in The Archivist.
