Maxim Jakubowski
Maxim Jakubowski has worked in books almost all his life; he worked in senior editorial positions in publishing for several decades, owned the Murder One bookstore and was Time Out and then the Guardian’s crime reviewer for, respectively, 10 and 11 years.
His first book was published when he was 16 and he shares his time and words between writing crime, erotica and SF & fantasy, editing, translating and writing on film and advising film festivals. He used to own the London Murder One bookstore and reviewed crime for Time Out and the Guardian for 22 years; he now does a monthly review column for Crime Time.
He has published almost 100 anthologies, 20 novels and six short story collections. His latest novel is THE PIPER’S DANCE (2021).
He is currently the CWA Chair and Chairs the Crime Fiction in Translation Dagger
