Bonnie MacBird
With degrees from Stanford in music and communications (film) Bonnie MacBird is a longtime vet of Hollywood where she’s worked as a studio feature film development executive (Universal), a screenwriter (TRON), a producer (three Emmys for documentary work), a playwright, theatre director, actor and audiobook reader. She currently writes full length Sherlock Holmes novels for HarperCollins –ART IN THE BLOOD, 2015 , UNQUIET SPIRITS, 2017,THE DEVIL’S DUE, 2019–and the latest THE THREE LOCKS (March 2021). MacBird is on the council of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London, invested as “Art in the Blood” in the Baker Street Irregulars,(BSI) and as “The Professional Enthusiast” in The Adventuresses of Sherlock Holmes (ASH). She is also a member of MWA, Sisters in Crime, RSA, and CRA. She is married to computer scientist Alan Kay.
