Lynne McEwan
Glasgow-born Lynne McEwan is a former national newspaper photographer turned crime author. She’s covered stories including the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the first Gulf War in addition to many high profile murder cases. She recently graduated with an MA Crime Fiction (Distinction) from the University of East Anglia’s creative writing programme.
Her first novel, IN DARK WATER, set on the Scottish border and featuring part-time lifeboat woman and full-time DI Shona Oliver, was published by Canelo in eBook and paperback and audiobook in June 2021. Two further outings for Shona followed, DEAD MAN DEEP (Aug 2022) and THE GIRLS IN THE GLEN (May 2023). A fourth will be published in 2024.
Lynne has appearrred at a number of festivals including, Bloody Scotland 2021 and 2022, Lincoln Book festival 2022 and at Wigtown Book Festival 2022 and Wigtown Spring Weekend 2023.
Lynne is currently based in Lincoln. She also has also worked with Writing East Midlands and was part of the Arts Council funded The Elder Tree project and the Surviving By Storytelling workshops for the NHS.
