Keith Moray

Keith Souter graduated in medicine from the University of Dundee and worked as a family doctor in Wakefield for many years. He writes popular medicine books and a range of non-fiction titles as Dr Keith Souter.

Under his pen-name of  Keith Moray he also writes the Inspector Torquil McKinnon crime series, set on the island of West Uist.

The Gathering Murders, the first in the series was  published by Sapere Books on March 1, 2018. This has been followed by  Deathly Wind, Murder Solstice, Flotsam & Jetsam and Death in Transit.

Deadly Still is due for publication on January 20, 2020.

Happily married to Rachel, they live within arrow-shot of historic Sandal Castle. After winning the Fish 2006 Historical One-Page Prize with his short story, A Villain’s Tale, he felt compelled to write historical fiction.

In 2020 three of his historical crime novels, set in medieval England  will be published by Sapere Books. Look out for  The Pardoner’s Crime,  The Fool’s Folly, The Summoner’s Sins.

Keith also writes westerns as Clay More and is a past vice president of Western Fictioneers. He is also a member of Western Writers of America and of International Thriller Writers.
