In between misspending decades clambering over Roman sites throughout Europe, Alison worked in the City of London, served six years in a specialist military unit, sold books and later ran her own translation company.
Alison’s nine-book Roma Nova thriller series is set in a remnant of the ancient Roman Empire that survived into the 21st century and is ruled by women who face conspiracy, revolution and heartache with a sharp line in dialogue. AURELIA was a finalist in the 2016 Historical Novel Society Indie Award and The Bookseller selected SUCCESSIO as Editor’s Choice in its inaugural indie review.
Alison now lives in Poitou in France, the home of the heroine of her latest two contemporary crime thrillers, Double Identity and Double Pursuit. Oh, and she’s writing the tenth Roma Nova story.
