M.K. Murphy

M.K. – aka Margaret Murphy – is the Founder of Murder Squad and a past Chair of the Crime Writers Association. She has been shortlisted for both the ‘First Blood’ critics award and the CWA Dagger in the Library and is an HRF Keating, Red Herrings, and Short Story Dagger winner.

In 2023, she published Dead Man Walking – the first of a new detective thriller series – under the pen name M.K. Murphy. It was immediately optioned for TV. The sequel, Blood Debt, will be released 12^th September 2024. Over almost three decades, Margaret has written 12 internationally acclaimed psychological suspense / domestic noir novels under her own name, plus 5 equally well-received forensic thrillers as Ashley Dyer and AD Garrett. Her work has been translated into nine languages.
