After many years as a working actor, mainly in film, television and radio, Phil moved into the production side as a freelance writer and film producer. He has written feature films, TV and radio dramas, documentaries and animation series. He has also worked as a script doctor on several international productions. He is founder and MD of Funky Medics, a production company focussing solely on innovative health education and is also a partner in the interactive animation unit, The Billy Blood Company. He has worked with various health organisations as an education consultant and was part of a NICE Guidelines Group on FH (Familial Hypercholesterolaemia) and co-author of a paper: the NICE Guidelines for Identification and Management of Familial Hypercholesterolaemia what does it mean for primary care?
He is an Honorary Associate at the University of Cardiff and is a freelance project consultant with various NGOs, working mainly in India.
Siena is his fist novel and his second, Single Cell, is on the way.
