Knafo Ruth Setton
Born in Morocco and raised in the United States, Ruth Knafo Setton is the author of ZIGZAG GIRL, a mystery novel about a female magician, set in Atlantic City. Her debut crime novel, it will be published by Black Spring Press in September 2024 as part of their new crime series endorsed by Luca Veste. ZIGZAG GIRL won the Grand Prize in ScreenCraft’s Cinematic Book Contest, First Prize in the Daphne du Maurier Foundation Awards, and was a Finalist for Killer Nashville’s Claymore Awards. Her award-winning stories and essays have appeared in many journals and anthologies, and her screenplays have received honors from Sundance Screenwriters’ Lab, Austin Film Festival, and Page International Screenwriting Awards. She is working on a new novel.
